The actor of “Operation 125” series continued by stating that this series was made in 3 long seasons: 8 episodes of the first season were made by Afkhami and the last 4 episodes were given to Rama Ghavidel, the second season was made by Mohammad Reza Ahanj and 14 episodes of the third season Made by Massoud Abparvar. After that, you slept for a while and then Behrouz Afkhami took over again. As an actor, I was more comfortable in front of Afkhami’s camera because he is the quietest director I have ever seen. He recalled “Operation 125”: In one sequence, I and Kaveh Khodashenas and a few other firefighters came from the grass, had a dialogue, and walked out of the frame. We came from outside the frame, we did our job, Afkhami said do it again, they took the sequence once again, Behrouz Afkhami got up from behind his monitor and came to us, he told Kaveh that it was great, he told me that you have extraordinary faith. I came to say that everything is right for you and do not worry, then he went back and forth and said, “Faith, it is better if you do not say this dialogue.” That is, he gave us positive energy for 10 minutes to tell him not to say that dialogue. The actor’s acting was important to him. In the editing box, he told his son Aydin to implement that plan. Safa added: Massoud Abparvar has his own characteristics and Mr. Ahanj is sharp and a man of laughter. I was good with all the directors in “Operation 125”, maybe because it was my first long and professional job, I remember it, but it really calmed me down. When Manouchehr Hadi said that Behrouz Afkhami had said that he wanted faith for my series, I said goodbye, I quickly went to his office and signed the contract in white. Anyway, it was Behrouz Afkhami and I had not worked on the series until then.
He continued: Later, when I was talking to Alireza Afkhami, he said that I was 100% against your presence. Because the character I wrote was a tall, athletic boy.

Officials’ promises to firefighters have not been fulfilled

Safa reminded: firefighters are 24 hours shift and 48 hours off, but they also work in the same 48 hours to be able to support their families. We just learned to talk to me or one of my friends who starred in the 125 series every year on the occasion of the 7th of Mehr or the anniversary of the Plasco martyrs. But the promises of the authorities to the firefighters were not fulfilled and they gathered in front of the municipality.

“Firefighters are experiencing a stressful 24 hours,” Safa said. When eating, resting or sleeping, a ringing sound is heard. In less than 20 seconds, everyone is dressed and the cars are moving. In many cases, they arrive faster than the emergency room. At the time of making the series, they showed us a series of training videos about firefighters, and we learned about 40% of firefighting training. In those films, we realized that nowhere in the world do firefighters, like Iranian firefighters, exercise courage and work according to an instruction.

He added: “They will not sacrifice their lives for their compatriots because then the commander will reprimand them.” But here firefighters risk their lives to save the lives of their compatriots. The sequence in which I put my mask on a child’s mouth is quite real. With this amount of courage and heroism, these people are involved in the tools of work and livelihood. They age very quickly. The performance is also stressful, but in the performance, you end up giving a whistle and it ends, but the fire whistle endangers a human life.

Safa said: “Seventy percent of people still know me by the name of Hossein Latifi, because this series was broadcast on television for 5 or 6 years, in other words, I was 125 years old.” Kaveh Khodashenas is my best friend, we are in contact with Mojtaba Rajabi, but Hadi Dibaji does not live in Tehran and we rarely see him.

In response to whether the fourth season of this series will be made or not, he said: I do not think; Hossein Latifi was supposed to be martyred at the end of the third season. After Behrouz Afkhami came, he said it was a pity and we would keep him. I asked him the reason and asked if the fourth season was going to be made. He said no, there is no fourth season. He does not want a fire department and we do not have a story anymore. Of course, I would love to have another work on the subject of firefighters, whether I play in it or not, but every few years we need to produce a series or film about the heroism of firefighters. We always have a war and police series, so the police wanted to hire Hamid Reza Pegah, but we do not have a movie about the firefighters!

The actor concluded: “People appreciate all classes, it is the municipal officials who do not pay attention to the demands of the firefighters.” The Plasco incident was tragic, but at least we were able to create a culture with which to cross when an emergency or fire truck arrives.
