Implementation of Kurdistan’s largest tourism project with more than 3 thousand hectares in Sanandaj



According to the Arya Heritage report and quoted from the public relations of the Kurdistan General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Ismail Zarei Kosha said on Sunday, April 20, 1402, in a meeting that was held to examine the dimensions of creating a tourism area in Salavat Abad, Sanandaj, he stated: Salavat Abad area, adjacent to the city of Sanandaj, has potential capacities. It is for the implementation of recreational and tourism projects and people are very interested in this area.

The Governor of Kurdistan stated: Based on the plans and with the announcement of the readiness of the private sector investor, a large tourism project will be implemented on a 20-hectare land in this area.

Stating that the investor is a capable company and has implemented large projects in different countries, he added: In the first step, an investment of 20 million dollars will be made in this project and in different sectors.

Zarei-Kosha reminded: The implementation of this project is not only specific to a specific department and organization, and our expectation is that all departments and agencies will consider it as a provincial and multi-organization plan and use all their facilities.

The Governor of Kurdistan said: The implementation of this project should not be involved in administrative bureaucracy and cumbersome processes, and on this basis, managers should personally advance the issues.

He also emphasized the importance of localism in the design of different parts of this tourist area and added: In this environment, a collection should be created that has a regional and native nature and the people of the region should be fully employed in its development.

Zarei Kosha reminded: People should have a sense of ownership in this big project and use it as an opportunity to create income and employment.

The governor of Kurdistan emphasized the follow-up of this project and said: “It is hoped that with the seriousness of the executive directors of the province, a large part of the work will be completed within a year.”
