Implementation of the new stage of restoration of the Safavid portico in the Safavid Government House of Qazvin

According to Arya Heritage Report, quoting from the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Crafts of Qazvin Province, Ehsan Noorani announced this news and said: The restoration project of the part known as the Safavid portico located in the courtyard of the Sarbans of the Safavid State House of Qazvin was started in March 1401 from the location of the President’s trip to Qazvin. It was established that its restoration workshop has been active since that date.

Qazvin cultural heritage deputy added: Following the restoration measures carried out in recent months, in the new stage of restoration, the late additions of the building, which were built with modern materials and caused damage to the building, have been collected and the original Safavid structure of the work has been revealed.

Noorani stated: The emergence of this structure is very important in the process of identifying and revitalizing the existing historical spaces in the Government House, and the operation of revealing the Safavid authenticity and collecting annexes will continue until the studies are completed.

The Deputy of Qazvin Cultural Heritage pointed out: The Safavid Government House complex is one of the most important historical-cultural sites of Qazvin city, which is located in the heart of the historical fabric of this city, and the organization and restoration of the damaged parts of this valuable work for its preservation and maintenance is considered one of the main priorities of this general administration. During the President’s visit to Qazvin, it was emphasized on its liberation, organization and restoration.
