Imported Kia cars arrived in Tehran / Quality review of Kia Seltos – Tejaratnews

According to Tejarat News, recently a part of the first shipment of imported Kia cars to the head office Kosha Khodro arrived. Pegasus, Seltos, Sonnet and Cerato automatic cars were among the cars that were cleared for the purpose of appearing in Kosha Khodro’s central showroom and introducing them to customers, and according to the representatives of Kosha Khodro, these cars will be on public display in the coming days.

Of course, it should be noted that other Kia products that were ordered will also be displayed at the Kosha Khodro dealership in the coming days.

How many cars does Kosha Khodro import?

According to the officials present at this exhibition, Kosha Khodro has a plan to import 2140 cars from the Kia brand. Of course, the basic price mechanism of this car has not been determined yet. But there are whispers about setting the base price of these cars at 700 million to 800 million tomans, which of course has not yet been approved by Kosha Khodro.

Quality control of imported cars

In the meantime, what are the technical specifications of the cars that were displayed? Are these cars imported from the Kia brand in the country of good quality?

Before introducing these cars, it should be pointed out that due to the limit set in relation to the price of imported cars, importing companies could not freely buy and import cars of their chosen brand. For this reason, most of the economic cars of automotive brands or the low-option version of these car manufacturers’ products have come to the country.

Is the quality of Kia Seltos suitable?

Kia Seltos is one of the most important imported Kia cars that will soon enter the Iranian market, it is considered a small crossover. Kia introduced this car to compete in the market of developing countries. A market that has fallen into the hands of Chinese crossovers as a result of Korean neglect.

This car was added to the product portfolio of Kia Automobile Company since 2019. In general, Seltos seems to be a suitable option to enter the Iranian market. But as it was said, all Kia brand cars are imported as low option. As a result, one should not expect the arrival of high-tech foreign pre-option cars.

Kia imports in 3 types

First of all, it should be noted that the cars that were displayed in Kosha Khodro were imported as samples and all of them are supposed to come to the Iranian market in three types: standard, semi-full and full option, and the cars in the dealership are the standard version of Kia products.

The quality of Seltos and other cars displayed at the Kosha Khodro dealership is at an average level. For example, the covers of Seltos seats are all cloth, and even the seats of Seltos and other Kia brand cars that have come to the country are manually adjusted.

Seltos is designed in a way that is not suitable for tall people, and these people will hit the ceiling when sitting in this car.

Although in the side view of Kia Seltos, we are clearly dealing with an economic car. But no fancy designs and lines have been used in this part, so that the only attraction of this part can be summed up to the bottom strings of the door and alloy rims. Of course, considering the economic nature of Seltos, one should not expect the complexity of the design from this car.

1.6 liter Seltos engine

This car is equipped with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine that produces a maximum of 123 horsepower and 151 Nm of torque. These figures are lower than similar Chinese models with 1.5-liter turbocharger engines. But the representative of Kia, in front of these cars, has focused on durability and stability in the long term. Seltos engine does not have the special complications of turbo engines and therefore all users can easily use it.

Are imported cars welcome?

According to the points that have been said, imported cars do not have high quality and technology due to the price restrictions of the importing companies, but it should be taken into account that because the import of cars has been freed after about six years, what about these cars? Whether with high or low quality, it is welcomed by the people of Iran.

Although it is said that they are the only imported cars that enter the Iranian market, but according to the profit of the importing companies, the dollar price and other side costs of car import, these foreign rides are estimated at a price ranging from 1 billion 500 million tomans to 3 billion tomans.
