Increasing flights between Iran and Syria from June 15 this year

Mohammadi Bakhsh added: The topics and axes of transportation in these meetings were in the air field, cooperation and increasing flights between passengers and cargo, especially pilgrims to the shrines of Hazrat Ruqayyah (pbuh) and Hazrat Zainab (pbuh). God willing, we will be able to achieve the traffic of 50,000 people per year.

The head of the Civil Aviation Organization explained: Issues were raised between the two countries about providing the necessary infrastructure and also determining the airlines of the parties to carry out the flights.

He added: Also, the number of flights, the number of flights and the daily, weekly and yearly schedule have been discussed and exchanged.

He continued: It was agreed on the training of Syria’s specialized air personnel in this field as well, and with the increase of the flights of both sides in the field of pilgrims and traders, a new chapter of Iran-Syria relations can be established.

The head of the Civil Aviation Organization reminded: the training and maintenance department of the training of flight attendants is ongoing, the flights are also underway, but the establishment of more flights up to a certain limit will start from June 15.
