According to Tejarat News, the first vice president announced the provision of land for the construction of 2,400,000 residential units nationwide in the 13th government.
Mohammad Mokhbar added: These lands are in both rural and urban areas.

Reducing the cost of housing construction
The government intends to put the construction of villa houses on the agenda as part of the national housing movement; A plan that, of course, faces many challenges. However, a housing expert, emphasizing the increase in the speed of building houses in the form of villas, believes that the construction of one-story houses leads to a 30% reduction in construction costs.
One of the government’s important plans for the construction of the National Housing Movement units is the construction of single-story and self-owned housing. In such a way that the applicants are given the land to build one-story units and gradually complete it.
Rostam Ghasemi, the retired Minister of Roads and Urban Development, while emphasizing the construction of villa residential units in the National Housing Movement, said: In cities where there is no land problem, we should not go towards high-rise construction, and as an example in Bam, because we did not have a land problem, We gave applicants 200 meters of land. Although this program is mentioned as a plan approved by the government, it seems that the previous minister failed to advance this program.
In this regard, Farshid Ilati, a housing expert, said about the advantages of building villas and houses with courtyards instead of high-rise buildings: the housing renovation project in Iran is synonymous with densification; If we can have the same discussion of building houses with courtyards and villas in bulk.
Emphasizing that we should not put mass construction in front of villa construction, he added: When we move towards the density of houses, we destroy the quality of life. In other words, when we bring families into apartments, the quality of life in apartments is much lower compared to villas.
