According to the Capital Bazaar (Sena) news site, Hossein Amirrahimi, Director General of the Office of Companies and Preparation of Enterprises of the Privatization Organization, regarding the reason for the suspension of Esteghlal Club’s symbol in the stock exchange, said: 359 billion Tomans were provided to Esteghlal Club through capital increase, which the Expenditure Committee Of this amount, 140 billion and 500 million tomans were authorized to spend in the approved headings to the club.
He added: In this committee, which includes the deputy minister of sports, the head of the privatization organization, and the CEO of Esteghlal Club, during the three meetings held, permission was given to Esteghlal Club to use the above amount for debt settlement, marketing and taxes.
Amirrahimi said: The privatization organization has corresponded with Mr. Fethullahzadeh, the new CEO of Esteghlal Club, and has requested to send a report on the latest state of spending the mentioned amount to the privatization organization. Because we are not clear about the status of 210 billion Tomans from the consumed resources by inquiring into the club’s bank accounts, and Esteghlal Club is going to officially announce the expenses to the privatization organization in a letter.
He continued: If there has been a violation in the place of spending these resources against the given permissions, we will make it known to the media.
The Director General of the Companies Office of the Privatization Organization said: Also, the Esteghlal Club received 50 billion Tomans from a bank without the permission of the Expenditure Committee, which of course is a violation of the bank. Because the bank had to request permission from us.
He added: Currently, the representatives of the regulatory bodies and the inspection organization are stationed in the club and are investigating the relevant cases.
In the end, Amir Rahimi noted: After the official response of Esteghlal Club and the sending of the results of the final checks on the Kodal system, the reopening of the symbol will be at the disposal of the Iran Exchange.
