Inflation rate for Azar 1401 was announced

According to Fars news agency, citing Iran’s Statistics Center, the annual inflation rate for households in the country reached 45.0% in December 1401, which shows an increase of 1.0 percentage points compared to the same information in the previous month.

Point inflation rate means the percentage change of the price index compared to the same month of the previous year. The spot inflation rate in December 1401 has reached 48.5%; It means that the country’s households have spent an average of 48.5% more than Azar 1400 for the purchase of “the same set of goods and services”.

The spot inflation rate of December 1401 has increased by 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous month. The spot inflation rate of the main group “food, beverages and tobacco” has reached 65.3% with a decrease of 2.4 percentage points, and the “non-food goods and services” group has reached 38.9% with an increase of 2.0 percentage points.

Meanwhile, the point inflation rate for urban households is 47.9%, which has increased by 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous month. Also, this rate for rural households is 51.4%, which has decreased by 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous month.

* Reducing the monthly inflation rate of the country’s households

The monthly inflation rate means the percentage change of the price index compared to the previous month. The monthly inflation rate of December 1401 has reached 1.9%, which has decreased by 0.2 percentage points compared to the same information in the previous month. The monthly inflation for the major groups of “food, beverages and tobacco” was zero percent and for the major group of “non-food goods and services” was 3.3 percent.

Meanwhile, the monthly inflation rate for urban and rural households is 2.1% and 1.2%, respectively, which is unchanged compared to the previous month for urban households and has decreased by 0.9 percentage points for rural households.

The annual inflation rate means the percentage change in the average number of the price index in a year ending with the current month, compared to the same period before that. The annual inflation rate for the country’s households has reached 45.0% in December 1401, which shows an increase of 1.0 percentage points compared to the same information in the previous month.

Also, the annual inflation rate for urban and rural households is 44.3% and 48.6%, respectively, which has increased by 1.0 percentage points for urban households and 1.2 percentage points for rural households.

In the main group of “food, beverages and tobacco”, the biggest price increase compared to the previous month is related to the group of “vegetables” (onions and zucchini) and the group of “beverages”. In the main group of “non-food goods and services”, the “health and treatment” group (types of drugs) and the “transportation” group (types of automobiles) had the highest price increase compared to the previous month.

Also, in this month, the price of “types of meat” (machine chicken) and “fruit and dried fruit” group has decreased compared to the previous month.
