Recently, with the release of a video, the violation of users’ privacy by Yes’s internal messenger was discussed. Now the Information Technology Organization denies this issue.

A few days ago, the publication of an image that indicated the possibility of viewing private messages of users by Yes Messenger employees, caused a lot of noise on social networks. The yes team also confirmed its authenticity in an official statement, but claimed that the published image was related to the monitoring system of public messages with possible violations. After this, the Information Technology Organization held an urgent meeting with the director of Yes Messenger and assigned its experts to check the validity of the published statement. Now, the result of this organization’s investigations is that Yes Messenger does not violate the privacy of users.

Denial of violation of privacy of users in Yes Messengers by the Information Technology Organization

According to the information technology organization, in the document of the rules and conditions of use of Yes Messenger, the content inside the channels and groups is mentioned as “an example of public content”. As a result, this messenger checks this public content to “identify and remove fraudulent content such as phishing and harmful links and unethical content.” Inappropriate content can be identified through direct user reports or artificial intelligence-based text mining tools. In fact, the organization says it does have a separate system from the main ones to deal with fraud and unethical content in public channels and groups.

The Information Technology Organization has also pointed out that the operator is not able to see the private information of the message senders in the so-called public groups and channels after evaluating different parts of the Bale program. The sender’s name, ID, and mobile number are all considered private information, which, according to the Information Technology Organization, this internal messenger does not have access to. Accordingly, this organization rejects the violation of privacy of users in this messenger.

Of course, while Yes Messenger claims that it aims to investigate violations by accessing the content of channels and groups, normal messages can also be seen in the published image. Finally, what do you Gadget News users think about the edges that have happened to Yes Messenger in relation to privacy violations?
