According to the online economy report, quoting Tasnim, Reza Akbari said in a press conference in response to Tasnim’s question: the maintenance expenses of the country’s roads must be provided so that they are in a good condition.

He continued: In other countries, they use different methods to provide sustainable resources, which include fuel, road and car taxes.

Stating that this issue is not something that has just been discovered, he added: Proposals have been made to collect tolls from roads and highways, but the conditions were not met.

Akbari stressed: Currently, tolls are collected only on freeways.
