instantaneous; Competition Council’s new pricing for the car market

Sepehr Dadjovi Tavakli, public relations director of the National Competition Center, said about the pricing of commercial vehicles, according to the online economy report, quoted by Fars: “Based on the request of the Ministry of Security, the National Competition Center is studying to determine whether the commercial vehicle market is a monopoly or not.”
He added: The investigation of this issue by the National Competition Center is at the expert stage to determine whether the commercial vehicle market is a monopoly based on competitiveness indicators or not.
The Public Relations Director of the National Competition Center stated: Investigating this work is a time-consuming process, and as mentioned, this issue is currently in the research and investigation stage of the National Competition Center, and it has not reached the Competition Council, and no results have been announced to the Council.
In February 1401, the Competition Council compiled and announced the “Passenger Vehicle Market Regulation Directive”, based on this directive, domestically produced and assembled passenger car market was recognized as exclusive.
Therefore, the Competition Council entered into the issue of car pricing and in April this year, it approved the prices of a number of domestically produced cars of the country’s two largest car manufacturers, i.e. Iran Khodro and Saipa, and after that, in May, the price of 17 assembled cars was approved for the first time. .
The important point about the approved price of assembled cars was the price reduction between 100 and 800 million tomans compared to the factory prices.
According to the announcement of the competition council, the pricing of other domestically produced and assembled cars is also on the agenda of this council, but first, the expert prices must be provided by the support organization to the council so that these prices can be reviewed by the competition council.
