Intel Arc A370M Laptop Graphics Test – RTX 3050 Performance

website PCWorld It is one of the first media outlets to test the graphics of the Intel Arc A370M laptop and demonstrate its performance.
Strangely, the author of PC World was forced to go to Intel headquarters to access a laptop with Arc A370M graphics. Interestingly, the blue team officially launched the Arc A350M and Arc A370M on March 30th. Unfortunately, the second model is apparently currently monopolized by the South Korean market with only one model. 5 weeks after the official release, no reviewer received a laptop for testing.
While there is no doubt that the release of the Arc A series has been (and will be) delayed and also very weak, the situation is getting a little better every week. Several laptop manufacturers have introduced new models with the ACM G11 chip. Although we expected more, it seems that this series is gradually moving in the right direction.
Graphic test of Intel Arc A370M laptop

So far, we have only seen the Arc A350M used within the Samsung Book 2 Pro system. The PC World team has access to the MSI Summit E16 Flip Evo and some other models for comparison. The Arc A370M uses 8 Xe cores, which means it has the full ACM G11 chip. It also has 4GB of GDDR6 memory and a 64-bit bus, and has a thermal output of 35 to 50 watts (very similar to a RTX 3050 laptop).
Overall, the Arc A370M is as fast as the graphics of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3050 notebook, which is itself a poor example of the Ampere series. In most cases, we see similar performance, but due to under-tested games, we still can not draw accurate conclusions.

The A370M tests could mean that the A550M could compete with the RTX 3060, as well as the Arc 7 series with the RTX 3070 series. However, the very bad release has caused us to see the next generation models of AMD and Nvidia at the time of the full release of the Intel Arc A lineup.
