Intel NUC X15 Alder County laptop – 12700H processor and Arc graphics

Alder County’s NUC X15 laptop is actually known as Intel’s reference platform, and it was revealed at CES 2022 that the series will benefit from Arc graphics. It looks like we’re finally seeing real specs, or at least some of them.

These NUC systems are generally used by manufacturers to rebrand (such as ADATA XPG Xenia laptops). The X15 platform will soon be updated with a faster processor and Intel’s own discrete graphics.

According to the specifications provided by momomo_us Released, the NUC X15 (C71H / C71G) features a Core i7 12700H processor and an Arc ACM G10 graphics chip. The G version will be equipped with the Arc A550M model, while the H version will be equipped with the Arc A730M model. Currently, there is no news of a system with the A770M model. Of course, apparently there is also a C51G version, which will probably have access to a weaker processor and graphics.

The NUC X15 2022 laptops are actually updated from the previous models with Core i7 11800H and Core i5 11400H processors from the Tiger Lake family. Previous models were also equipped with Nvidia discrete graphics such as GeForce RTX 3060 or GeForce RTX 3070. Although it was thought that Intel might provide similar graphics performance with its Arc models, but the official performance of this series showed that such a thing is impossible. The Arc A730M is barely faster than the RTX 3050 Ti, while the A770M is only 12% faster than the RTX 3060. For this reason, it is unlikely that the A770M can beat the RTX 3070 on Intel’s own NUC platform.

The release time of NUC X15 2022 will probably be the same as the global launch of Arc A550M / Arc A730M notebook graphics. NUC laptops, as we said, are generally sold exclusively by manufacturers, however, no system based on the new NUC X15 has been announced yet.
