International horse archery competitions hosted by Alborz began

The director of Iranmehr Equestrian Club, the host of these competitions, said in an interview with IRNA on the sidelines of the course: Iranmehr is the only holder of a standard line allowed in the Middle East to hold competitions in this sport.

Arezoo Malek added: Athletes from Poland, Hungary, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, Syria, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa, Iran and Pakistan are participating in this competition.

The host of the competition said that the majority of athletes participating in international archery competitions are on men’s horses, adding: “A female athlete from Poland is participating in this competition.”

The director of Iranmehr Equestrian Club continued by stating that 2 athletes from Alborz and Fars provinces are also present in these competitions and said: “Before the first and second grade refereeing classes, this discipline was held with the presence of 9 Iranian referees, who are also referees.” They are now judging these competitions.

Malek said: This is the third international archery competition in Iran, which was held under the auspices of the Equestrian Federation.
