International Paralympic Committee: Iranian taekwondo fighter avenges Tokyo defeat



According to IRNA on Wednesday, the website of the International Paralympic Committee published a report on the world parachuting championships praising the performance of Mehdi Pourrehnama, the proud national costume of Iran.

The report states; Pourrehnama, an Iranian hurricane taekwondo fighter weighing less than 75 kg, managed to cross the Mexican “Diego Garcia” barrier in a sensitive match and while avenging the defeat of the Tokyo 2020 final, he recorded the fifth world championship title in his record.

“I am very happy to be able to avenge the defeat of Tokyo,” he said after the victory over his Mexican opponent.

The World Parachuting Championships with 264 athletes from 41 countries were hosted by Istanbul, Turkey, on December 11th and 12th (December 20th and 21st), and Mehdi Pourrehnama won the title of the most valuable male athlete of this event in addition to the gold medal.
