“This space is so new and new that no one is familiar with it”; This sentence is Asal Alizadeh’s description of the different space of digital currencies. It has been 5 years since he got acquainted with Bitcoin and digital currencies, and even though during this time he has become one of the familiar faces of the Iranian digital currency community, he says that users of this field should instead of following well-known personalities or influencers, to learn more from Use official sources, educational articles and tools like YouTube.

As a woman, she sees the current situation of the digital currency market, where most of the active population is made up of men, as an opportunity, and she thinks that regardless of gender, this field is still young enough to allow everyone to grow.

The article you are reading below is Aruzdigital’s interview with Asal Alizadeh. In this conversation, we have reviewed the activities of Iranian women in the space of digital currencies, we have looked at the latest situation of the Bitcoin and digital currencies market, and we have also had a discussion about investment and trading methods. In addition, for the clichéd and of course important question “What should we buy?” We have received a new answer from Asal Alizadeh.

Interview with Asal Alizadeh

Dear Asal Alizadeh, briefly introduce yourself and what you do for us say.

Hello. My name is Asal Alizadeh, I am 23 years old and I entered the crypto market in 2017. My entry was due to content work, of course, I also studied computer engineering in university and I was interested in economics. For this reason (before entering the university), I started working as a writer and researcher in this field. During this time, I collaborated with various companies in the fields of research and development (R&D), content, marketing, education, market analysis (investment and trade department) and business development (BD) in the field of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Of course, about a year and a half ago, I started producing video content in the form of analytical and educational videos.

Finally, in addition to classical fundamental analysis, my activity continued in the analysis of market data (including the analysis of Anchain data and other crypto market data) and with a professional team, I began to develop models and algorithms for market analysis and numerical risk management, using artificial intelligence. We did machine learning and data engineering. Of course, in addition to this team, I am currently working in the business development department of an international market maker company in the crypto market.

In the financial markets, the majority of active people are men, and in a way, it can be said that active women in this industry are still in the minority. It is the same in the digital currency and blockchain industry. What is your general opinion? Do you think this is an opportunity or a limitation for the Iranian crypto women community?

In fact, I see this issue as an opportunity. Of course, I personally faced challenges and discrimination in this space because of my gender, but overall, the burden of support and positive energy has always been heavier for me. We currently have very educated and hard-working women in the crypto community of Iran, and in general, I believe that regardless of gender, this space is still young and emerging, even in the international field, which allows everyone to grow and still has a lot of room for work. has The point here is that women should not limit themselves and hide behind the mask of “I, as a woman, should not go into technical fields”. In my opinion, everything comes down to interest, and if you are interested in working in this space, regardless of gender, be sure that you will find your path and succeed.

Do you have any advice for women who are active in the field of digital currencies?

My only advice is to stand up against discrimination, but don’t expect too much support from a person or organization. The reason why I raised this issue is that I have seen many times that women see their gender as a weakness and seek more approval or support for equality in the workplace, which definitely hurts them more. I don’t want to shout slogans, but ladies and gentlemen, study and believe in yourself. Studying does not mean following profitable yellow influencers, it means real scientific study and raising awareness.

This market does not have a long life and don’t think that all the great things have been done by others and now you just have to follow the others; Many things that seem invisible are possible in this field, but no one has tried to do them yet. So be creative and don’t be afraid. In my opinion, never invest on your own until you have a thorough knowledge of the nature of this technology, this market, and crypto projects.

Is there a special project or community that can be carried out with the help of active Iranian women? What are the achievements of Iranian women in this area and what have they done? Can you name three Iranian women active in the field of crypto who you think are the most successful?

Yes, the “Women in Blockchain Farsi” community is entirely managed by very literate and talented Iranian women in this space, of course, as far as I know, their focus has been on empowering women in the technical sectors of blockchain and development. Last year, we created a Telegram group specifically for sharing knowledge between women, and a number of dear and successful women in the community helped a lot in this direction, and I think it is true that there is a lot of room to move forward, but the networking and communication that was formed was not without grace. I see the progress of many children now and enjoy it.

Considering that there are definitely hundreds of women active in this market and field, and I may not know 99% of them, so I cannot introduce anyone as “the most successful”; But the only thing I know is that Iranian women are growing step by step with men in this space, and especially the current market situation has made many people start to learn more and progress deeper, which in my opinion is a very positive point.

Bitcoin and digital currencies in general are currently experiencing one of the biggest bear markets in history. In your opinion, the continuation of this trend and the further reduction of prices can have an effect on the digital currency industry and businesses active in this field?

The answer to this question can be very long, but if I want to summarize, even if we consider the previous cycle, we can see that these drops and entering the bear market always act like a filter; It is true that unfortunately many people will suffer and many people will withdraw their capital from the market and may never enter the crypto market again (which will weaken the return of buying pressure and the upward trend), but there are two positive points. has

The first point is that many people think of learning more. Profiting or starting a business in the crypto market, in the time of Bullran, is the easiest thing anyone can do, in my opinion. Just buy any token and get profit! The danger is where you think, so now you are a market master. These drops cause a shock to many people and they start to study more, maybe the projects are forced to upgrade and improve more in order to survive in these conditions and everyone has enough time to work more on the infrastructure and development of their products.

The second point is that if you remember in the previous cycle, there were many projects (even among the top projects) that were destroyed now. Likewise, there were professors or analysts who disappeared completely after the previous fall. In my opinion, the decline, which is of course a clear requirement of any financial market, is a criterion for distinguishing the best. Projects that have infrastructural problems or algorithmic weaknesses, like Luna, are removed from the game board, and this is where their difference becomes clear.

Definitely, for a long time, we will not see the trend that we witnessed for about two years; Many businesses may stop their activities; Investors will be less willing to enter; We will even definitely hear news and analysis predicting that the crypto market will disappear! Just like what happened before. On the other hand, we should not think that we have definitely reached the bottom, we should know that there are still many more risks and if we know how to make money in a falling market, we should start working; If not, be patient and don’t be greedy.

Although you were mostly active in fundamental analysis, what is your general opinion about such analysis? Where do you think it can be useful?

True, in the first years of my career, I focused more on traditional fundamental analysis, but later I realized that this type of analysis is good, but not enough at all. That is why we are now (with the team we have) working on the analysis of various data such as Anchain, exchange data, whale movements, market sentiments, etc., and we combine all of this with traditional analysis.

I must say that this kind of analysis is different from other financial markets. It is very useful and practical and unfortunately it is not understood correctly in most cases. I even see that some people said about the recent fall, why this fall was not predicted by the analysis! We do not have any uniform and universal method to perform such analysis. The only thing that is common is such data and everyone can have their own analysis and method of using this data, so there is no such thing as technical analysis patterns in such analysis that everyone can follow and understand what they have predicted and What did he do? So it is possible that someone has a downward analysis of the same data and another person has an upward analysis.

Such analysis can give you a very deep insight into market sentiments and conditions. My suggestion is that if you are interested, don’t settle for a few simple and basic criteria or simple analytical articles and check the criteria more deeply. It can definitely be very useful for trading.

Another question; What should we buy?!

This question was very good. Maybe many people don’t like my answer, but my answer is don’t buy anything! I don’t really like the combination of “investing in cryptocurrencies” in the form of a hold or a basket because it’s misleading. Investing means that you made a purchase with the intention of increasing your fiat money (so statements like “a bitcoin is always a bitcoin” do not apply. If you believe this statement, then you are not investing, in fact, you are converting your assets.

If your intention is to invest and the period of this investment is less than 4 to 5 years, there is no guarantee that you will be in profit next year. Of course, it is not guaranteed for 4 to 5 years, but at least according to experience (about Bitcoin), one can hope, but not in one or two years. In general, I strongly prefer professional and scientific short-term trading over buying and holding, because it can be profitable in any market situation if done correctly; But by an expert and I must say that most people do not have this expertise. If your intention is for long-term investment, I can only say “Bitcoin”; But you should expect anything.

Finally, if you have something for our audience, we will be happy to know.

To grow and progress in the crypto space, don’t look for a template and a master or a ready-made version. This space is so new and new that no one knows about it. There is a lot of room for improvement, so instead of entering the fringes of the community and trying to learn from yellow influencers, use official and professional sources, articles and YouTube. You will definitely notice how much more you know in no time! Thank you to Erzdigital, which has always been one of the best and most useful Persian language resources in this field, and I hope you will be successful.
