Introducing handicrafts, foods and ritual music of the two countries


Iran and Turkmenistan joint tourism festival and exhibition;

Iranian and Turkmen tourism companies along with handicraft activists of the two countries attended the festival and exhibition of Ashgabat State Academy of Arts to introduce their services.


According to Moj News Agency, in the exhibition hall of the Ashgabat State Academy of Arts, Iranian and Turkmen tourism companies along with handicraft activists from the two countries, in a festival and exhibition jointly organized by the cultural consultancy of the Iranian Embassy in Turkmenistan It was held, they were present. The purpose of this presence was to introduce the services of these companies.

In this joint festival, companies in the fields of health tourism, handwoven carpets, handwoven goods and hospitals in Behshahr and selling handicraft products from Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Nain and other cities were present.

In the opening ceremony of this program, Ali Mojtabi Behbahani, the new ambassador of Iran in Turkmenistan, visited the booths and exhibition in his first visit and got acquainted with the products of Iranian handicrafts and tourism companies of Turkmenistan. In this ceremony, he praised the people involved in this program, especially the cultural consultation. Also, he had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.

In this festival, in addition to the display of Iranian handicraft products, Turkmen handicraft products were also displayed. Also, the Turkmen side was promoting tourism tours and attractions of their country by displaying clothes and offering promotional products.

In addition, the traditional music groups of Iran and Turkmenistan held various programs in the festival. An Iranian music group participated in various exhibitions and performed ritual dances of Razavi Khorasan, Lorestan, East Azarbaijan and Kermanshah provinces. Then the Turkmen music group also had its dance and singing program.

The Iranian music group is also going to perform programs during the festival at Vatan Cinema Hall.

On the sidelines of this festival, an exhibition of traditional foods and desserts of the two countries was held. Some of these dishes were common and this matter attracted the opinion of students and language learners present at the festival and exhibition. Also, the heavy traditional ornaments of Turkmens also attracted the attention of Iranians.

This program was carried out in line with the cooperation between the two countries of Iran and Turkmenistan and strengthening the friendly relations between the two nations. Also, the Turkmens are going to travel to Iran in the coming days and hold a cultural week in Isfahan.

According to Navid Rasouli, Cultural Counselor of the Iranian Embassy in Turkmenistan, about 200 people come to Iran every day for shopping, treatment and tourism. Holding such programs will help to know the two countries and deepen the relationship.
