Introducing the judges of the “Horizons” section of the Venice Festival/Isabel Kusht became the chairman
The judges of the Horizons section of the 2022 Venice Festival were introduced.
Charso Press: Isabel Kusht The Spanish director, who is best known for award-winning films such as “The Hidden Life of Words” and “The Bookstore”, has been announced as the head of the jury for the Horizons section of the 2022 Venice Film Festival.
Laura Bispori Italian director of the movie “Miner Girl”, Antonio Campos The American director and producer who recently created the series “Staircase” for HBO. Sophia Gemma The Algerian director who was in the Horizons section of Venice in 2017 with the film “Holy”. Edward Winthrop The former director of the Cannes Film Festival directors’ fortnight section is the other judges of this section.
In addition, the Italian director Michelangelo Framartino is also in charge of the first films section of the festival.
As previously announced, Julian Moore is the head of the jury for the main competition of the festival. Audrey Divan, the French director who won the Golden Lion in Venice last year, Leila Hatami, the Iranian actress of the film “Separation”, and four judges, including Kazuo Ishiguro, the English-Japanese writer who won the Nobel Prize, Leonardo Di Costanzo, the Italian director, Mariano Kahn, the Argentinian filmmaker, and Rodrigo Sorogin, the director and producer. The Spanish player is also the other member of the jury of the main competition.
The 79th edition of the Venice Film Festival will be held between August 31 and September 10.
