Introducing the seventh generation of Lenovo Legion gaming laptops at CES 2022

Lenovo has attracted a lot of attention at CES 2022 with the introduction of a large number of new PCs, and as expected, the Chinese company has also prepared its new generation of Legion gaming laptops for gamers.
Introducing the seventh generation of Lenovo Legion gaming laptops
Lenovo has introduced the seventh generation of Legion 5 and Legion 5 Pro laptops, which have a thinner body than the previous generation, and are also equipped with the new generation of Intel and AMD mobile processors introduced at CES 2022. The 5 Pro is based on AMD’s next-generation Raizen 6000 chips, while the 5i Pro is powered by the twelfth generation of Intel mobile processors. Both models have a nicer design than the previous generation, and the thickness of the device has been reduced thanks to the redesigned cooling system with narrower fans, a wider air outlet surface and a more efficient copper block and heat pipe layer. In this way, Lenovo has solved the thermal problems that existed in the previous year’s models.
In terms of graphics, as you can guess, Lenovo has included Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 30 graphics chips for its new gaming laptops. The new generation Legion is equipped with a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2960 x 1600 and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. For data storage, this laptop can be equipped with an NVMe SSD with a maximum capacity of 1 terabyte. The keyboard of this device has 4 RGB lighting points. With Lenovo’s proprietary solution, the battery of this device is charged with a power of 300 watts, and you can also charge the device through a USB-C interface with a power of 135 watts.
The Legion 5i Pro will be available in February for a starting price of $ 1,570, while the Legion 5 Pro will be available in April for a starting price of $ 1,430.
Fixed the previous generation thermal problem by redesigning the cooling system
If the price of the Pro models seems high, you can take a look at the regular Legion 5 and Legion 5i models, both of which, like the Pro versions, are equipped with the new generation of Intel and AMD processors as well as Nvidia GPU chips, but while Combined with a powerful cooling system and larger outlets, they are 15% narrower. Thanks to the aluminum-magnesium body, the device has a good build quality.

To reduce the price of regular models, Lenovo has equipped them with 15-inch 165Hz displays with 1440p resolution, which are clearly not as good as the Pro series displays, but still able to fully cover the sRGB color gamut and have a good refresh rate. There are also 4 RGB lighting points in these models as an option.
Lenovo will launch the Legion 5i starting in February with a base price of $ 1,200, but you will have to wait until April to buy the $ 1130 base Legion 5, which is powered by AMD chips. Lenovo has also introduced a range of accessories from the Legion brand, including the 24.5-inch Legion Y25-30 display, which supports 240Hz refresh rate, and will be available for $ 340 per month. This IPS display also uses the DisplayHDR 400. The 24-inch and 27-inch G24qe-20 and G27qe-20 displays will also be available in March for $ 260 and $ 300, respectively.

Lenovo also introduced the Legion M600s lightweight gaming mouse, which benefits from a wireless interface and is equipped with a 19000 DPI sensor. The model is priced at $ 85, while the M300s wireless mouse with RGB lighting and 8000 DPI sensor will be available from May for $ 30.
