Introduction of street music with “Mazgunchi” Radio Saba – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, citing Saba Radio’s public relations, “Mazgunchi” is the title of a new music-oriented program that will be aired on Saba Radio Network.

Aiming to introduce street music, this program talks to street musicians and introduces these lesser-known artists.

This week, “Mezgunchi” went to another musician who has chosen the street as an important and serious stage to perform his music. Saeed Shams, born in 1368 in Tehran, got acquainted with music by playing the flute recorder, then he started playing the Haftband reed instrument. He was 22 years old when he entered the Tehran Music Conservatory and chose the clarinet as his main instrument.

Since then, Shams has been playing jazz and gypsy jazz pieces professionally, and has also continued to play the tenor saxophone along with the clarinet. He has collaborated with several groups, such as the rock group “Obour” – which is an Iranian rock group – as well as “Tehran Gypsy Jazz Ensemble” and “Bandehesh”, which is a jazz group.

In addition to playing music for musical performances, he has performed music for theater scenes, among which we can mention his participation in various domestic festivals, as well as his work as a composer and musician at the Procontra International Theater Festival in Poland. Shams constantly performs street and cafe performances where improvisation is his main approach and goal of playing. This artist has appeared in many tracks and recorded albums with other artists.

On Friday, October 14, 1402 at 19:00, he will come to Radio Saba with the program “Mazgunchi”.

“Mazgunchi” is presented to the audience on Fridays at 19:00, produced by Ansieh Shamsollahi.
