Invitation to the 14th Antalya International Theater Festival
The call for the non-competitive Antalya Theater Festival, which aims to be a bridge between Western and Eastern cultures, was published.
Charso Press: The call for the Antalya World Festival, which is held every year in a non-competitive manner for 10 days, was published.
This artistic event was established in 2000 and the 14th edition of the festival will be held next year. The Turkish State Theater Organization organized the Antalya International Theater Festival for the first time from May 17 to May 30, 2020 (May 28 to June 10, 2019). This festival is presented as a completely new experience for the audience of Antalya region, and one of the goals of its organization is to present the artistic and historical characteristics of Turkey at the international level.
Antalya festival is ten days long and non-competitive and aims to be a bridge between western and eastern cultures. As an international theater-oriented event in the region, this festival aims to take a step towards establishing future cooperation between the Turkish State Theater Organization and foreign groups around the world.
In the past, artists and theater groups from countries such as Germany, Russia, Georgia, Spain, Italy, Cuba, Slovakia, China, Switzerland, Romania, Holland, North Korea, Albania, Kazakhstan participated in this festival with their productions.
This year, groups from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Greece, Cuba and Romania took the stage with their shows in this festival. For its 14th year, the festival accepts works in different genres, from plays to other types of performances.
The 14th edition of Antalya World Theater Festival will be held from May 17th to May 27th next year (May 28th to June 7th).
Interested artists and groups can register to participate in this international art event by filling out the application form that includes detailed information about the festival and sending it. The deadline for submitting the application is January 10, 2024 (20 January 1402).
