iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will not have always-on display and promotion

While Apple wants Dynamic Island to all phones iPhone 15 series bring, but apparently, like the iPhone 14 series, it still limits advanced technologies such as promotion and always-on display (AOD) to Pro models, and news about them in iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will not be.

According to the claim One of the industrial sourcesThis year, like last year, Apple uses LTPO display only in Pro models, and for this reason, only buyers of these products will have access to promotion technology or refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz:

“Apple has made arrangements for the delivery of iPhone 15 series display panels, and soon the details will be finalized and ready for mass production. The only thing that has been confirmed is that only the Pro models support the LTPO display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and there will be no news of this feature in the regular and Plus models.”

The always-on display feature will not make its way to the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus

If the recent report is true, the always-on display feature is also considered exclusive to the Pro models; Because to access it, the display must have the ability to reach a refresh rate of 1 Hz, which is achieved with LTPO technology.

This is not the first time we have seen a report about not bringing LTPO technology to the standard and Plus models of the next generation iPhone. At the end of last year, one of the reliable sources of the technology world, “Ross Young”, also claimed that Apple will bring the dynamic island to all iPhone 15 series phones, however, it is likely that there will be no news of the LTPO panel in the basic models.

According to another prominent market analyst, “Ming-Chi Kuo”, BOE, which is in charge of producing iPhone 15 and 15 Plus displays, will not be able to mass-produce LTPO panels until 2024.

Despite the above, all iPhone 15 series models will be equipped with a more advanced OLED display chip with lower power consumption. This chip will be based on 28 nm lithography instead of 40 nm, which will lead to an increase in device charging.

Considering that we are several months away from the introduction of the iPhone 15 series, we still have to wait for the release of new reports and rumors about them.
