iPhone 15 series users can see the number of battery charge cycles

According to the information published by one of the market-savvy sources on X social network (former Twitter), iPhone 15 users can see the number of charging cycles of their phone’s battery for the first time.

Until now, if iPhone users wanted to see the number of cycles or the battery charge cycle of their device, they had to use third-party applications for this. Such methods have their own difficulties in practice. But now unlike the previous methods to check the number of cycles or the same iPhone battery charging cycleFor the first time, Apple has made such a possibility available to users.

A new feature for iPhone 15 users: viewing the number of battery charge cycles

According to the screenshot shared by one of the knowledgeable sources of the market with the username Tech_Reve on the X social network (formerly Twitter), information about the battery cycle in iPhone 15 models can be seen through the settings section.

In the battery section, a new section has been added that shows the number of battery charging cycles. Also, based on the relevant screenshot information, through the same option, users can find out the date of manufacture and the date of first use of the device.

By viewing the number of cycles related to battery charging, users can have information about the health of their device’s battery. A charge cycle is recorded every time the device’s battery is fully discharged. As a result, knowing the number of battery charging cycles is particularly important.

But the question may arise, what does the battery charge cycle mean? iPhone batteries are of lithium-ion type. When 100% of the battery capacity is used and the battery is so-called discharged, such a situation is called a full charge cycle. But you have to consider something about this. Suppose, on the first day, you use 75% of your device’s battery capacity, then you charge your mobile fully. If you use 25% charge of the device the next day, a complete battery charging cycle has been completed in two days, 75% of which was related to the first day and 25% related to the second day. It may take several days to complete a cycle. The capacity of any type of battery decreases after a certain number of charge cycles. For lithium-ion batteries, the battery capacity decreases slightly with each full charge cycle. As a result, by knowing the number of battery charge cycles, you can get information about the battery status of the device.
