Iran and Russia agreement to develop monetary and banking cooperation

Ali Saleh Abadi, the Governor General of the Central Bank, said in a meeting with Alexander Novak: “During the meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank and the Minister of Economic Development of Russia, a variety of issues were discussed, including the development of monetary cooperation. and banking, as well as solutions to remove some obstacles and expand joint investment between Tehran and Moscow, were examined and good agreements were reached in this regard, and the implementation of these agreements will be seriously pursued.

In this meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia considered the development of economic relations and investment between Tehran and Moscow a priority and necessity and continued: Russia is fully prepared in this regard.

He added: There are very suitable fields for the expansion of economic cooperation and investment between the two countries, and the understanding of the central banks of the two countries is very important in order to provide the necessary fields in this regard.

During his trip to Moscow, the Governor of the Central Bank also met with the Minister of Economic Development and the Governor of the Central Bank of Russia. Issues related to the joint investments of the two countries, as well as solutions to remove obstacles and develop financial and banking cooperation between Fimabin, were among the most important axes of these talks.

During the visit of the head of the central bank of our country to Moscow, senior managers of some big Russian banks also met with Saleh Abadi and discussed the expansion of relations with Iranian banks.
