According to the Mehr correspondent, the preliminary competitions of the second five weights of the World Under-23 Freestyle Wrestling Championships were held yesterday in Belgrade, Serbia. At the end of this stage, two Iranian representatives reached the finals and two other freestyle wrestlers reached the qualifying match. Accordingly, Mohammad Sadegh Firoozpour and Sajjad Gholami reached the finals in the weights of 74 and 86 kg, and Amir Hossein Firoozpour and Seyed Mehdi Hashemi also qualified for the finals in the weights of 92 and 125 kg.

In the 74 kg weight category, Mohammad Sadegh Firouzpour defeated Simone Wojcieckowski of Poland in the first round with a score of 10: 0. In the second round, he defeated Pravin Malik of India 10-2 and then crossed the Simon Marchel Dam of Austria 14-6 to advance to the semifinals. At this stage, he defeated Harayar Ali Khanian from Armenia 4-2 and advanced to the final. In this match, Firoozpour will face Cherman Walif, the silver medalist of the under-23 world, from Russia.

Sajjad Gholami (86 kg) won the first round in the first round due to the absence of world bronze medalist Abu Bakr Abakarov from Azerbaijan. In the second round, he crossed the Amre Giftaji Dam in Turkey with a score of 8: 2, and then defeated Mehr Markosyan from Armenia with a score of 5: 0 and advanced to the semifinals. At this stage, he defeated Ivars Samsonox from Latvia with a result of 9 to 0 and advanced to the final. Tonight’s opponent is Gholami in the final match of Mukhamed Aliyev against Ukraine.

In the 92 kg weight category, Amir Hossein Firuzpour defeated Kolyo Demitrov of Bulgaria 11-0 in the second round after a break in the first round. . At this stage, Firuzpour lost 10 to 7 to Osman Nurmagomedov, the bronze medalist of the World Championships in Norway, from Azerbaijan, and went to the qualifying match. He will face wrestlers Andrian Grossel of Moldova and Johannes Meyer of Germany.

In the 125 kg weight category, Seyed Mehdi Hashemi defeated Saman Jabrailov of Moldova 2-0 in the first round (his opponent was injured). He crossed the Yaroslav Slavikovsky Dam in Belarus 3 times and reached the semi-finals. At this stage, he lost 4-0 to Azmat Khosunov from Greece with a technical blow and went to the qualifying match. Hashemi’s opponent will have to face the winner of the match between the Uzbek government and Kazakhstan and Mohit from India.

In the 61 kg weight category, Majid Dastan also competed, defeating Daniel Puccino of Italy 4-2 in the first round, but lost 7: 6 to Naranjo Narmandach of Mongolia in the next round. Subsequently, due to the defeat of this wrestler in the semi-final stage, Majid Dastan withdrew from the competition.

Last night, at the end of the first five weight competitions, Amir Ali Azarpira won the gold medal in the weight of 97 kg, and Ahmad Mohammadnejad Javan in the weight of 57 kg, Ali Akbar Fazli in the weight of 70 kg and Ali Savadkoohi in the weight of 79 kg also won bronze medals.
