After the United States, Canada, Russia, India and Japan are ranked fourth to seventh with a capacity of 82.3, 55.7, 51.4 and 49.6 thousand megawatts.

According to Fars report, the technology of building hydroelectric power plants is available to Iran, and Iranian knowledge-based companies, relying on the power of scientists in the field of water and electricity, prepared the field for the localization of this technology.

According to international reports, Iranian hydroelectric turbines can compete with the largest manufacturing companies in this field, including Germany’s Siemens and America’s General Electric.
