According to the Mehr news agency, quoting Al-Mayadin, “Talal Arsalan”, a prominent Lebanese politician and leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party, spoke about the events of last Thursday in the “Al-Tayouna” area in Beirut.
According to the report, Arsalan stated in this regard: The investigation of the security forces shows that the Al-Tayouna incident was pre-planned. This issue must be resolved radically; Otherwise, similar things can happen.
The leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party said: “What happened in Al-Tayouna threatens the peaceful coexistence of the various parties.” The foresight of Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah has prevented a civil war.
In another part of his speech, Talal Arsalan referred to the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region and clarified: There is a fact and that is that Iran is one of the factors of stability in the region.
It is worth mentioning that last Thursday, the militants affiliated with the Lebanese forces, led by Samir Geagea, attacked the supporters of Hezbollah and the Amal movement in Beirut and martyred a number of them. This morning, Reuters reported, citing informed sources, that Samir Geagea, leader of the Lebanese Forces (Lebanese Forces) party, had been summoned to a military tribunal following the recent incidents in Beirut’s al-Tayouna district.
The sources said that Judge Fadi Aghighi, following the confessions of the detainees in the case, asked to hear Samir Geagea’s explanations in this regard. On the other hand, the Lebanese Forces Party refused to receive any notification about summoning Geagea to hear his statements about the events in Beirut.
Earlier, a Lebanese lawyer had filed a lawsuit against Samir Geagea, leader of the Lebanese Forces Party, and Tariq Bitar, a judge in the Beirut port bombing case. Recently, Lebanese Mufti Sheikh Ahmed Qabalan also reacted to the recent incident in the Al-Tayouna area of Beirut. In this regard, he said: This incident has regional and international dimensions.
