Iran Khodro’s plan is to produce 50 electric vehicles/heavy vehicles and export them to Russia


According to the economic reporter of Fars News Agency, Mehdi Khatibi stated in a press conference today: Prescriptive pricing has been one of the problems of the automobile industry since the past, considering the output it has had.

He added: In the next year’s budget law, it is specified that all cars must be sold in the commodity exchange.

Khatibi stated that we will continue to sell on the commodity exchange and we believe that in the absence of an optimal solution, the stock exchange is the best option.

The CEO of Iran Khodro stated: In the past years, at least 350 thousand billion Tomans have been taken out of the pockets of the people and shareholders of the automobile, which are the private and public sector, due to the policy of mandatory pricing.

Khatibi said about the competition council’s recent instruction on car prices: the instruction of the competition council is general and we have not taken any action regarding it. This instruction should be communicated in more detail by the support organization.

Stating that we are currently selling cars on the stock market, he said: Finally, the mandated pricing should go in a specific direction.

He stated: The approval of the head of the development organization and the deputy of transportation of the Ministry of Peace and the head of the privatization organization announced a few months ago that the mandatory pricing should be removed in 1402, so we are currently in a dusty environment.

In response to the question, has Iran Khodro requested a price increase and announced the price analysis to the Competition Council? He said: No, like Saipa, we have not presented a case to the Competition Council as a price analysis and price increase.

Stating that one of our export target markets is Russia, he said: significant measures have been taken in this area and negotiations with Russia regarding the export of high-volume passenger and heavy vehicles have been conducted and the export of passenger cars to Russia has begun. .

In the field of electric car production, Khatibi stated: A memorandum of understanding has been made with Mapna, and according to it, at least 50 electric cars will be produced early next year, and these cars will probably be used as taxis in Kish Island.

He said: “In the field of economic car production, we have also carried out work in Iran Khodro, and an economic gasoline car is going to be produced by Saipa and an economic electric car by Iran Khodro.”

He stated: We have not handed over the cars that are offered in the stock market to a real person, and proper information has not been given in this regard.

He stated why the name of Iran Khodro is only mentioned in the radio and television about the transfer of cars to the devices and why the news keeps talking about the transfer of cars by this car manufacturer, he said: Go and see what happened in other car manufacturers, and I mean It is not Saipa.

Khatibi said: If this issue is a violation, why did the Broadcasting Organization request a car from Saipa, so if this issue is illegal, this should not have been done.

The CEO of Iran Khodro stated about the import of cars: Iran Khodro Group has no objection to the import of cars, but in relation to the liberalization of the import of used cars, I must say that I do not know the reason for this issue in terms of politics and I am against this issue and I am against this issue from an expert point of view. Khatibi mentioned the withdrawal of European car manufacturers affected by sanctions in the past years and stated: Therefore, we include and pay attention to such issues in our usual policies and foreign partnerships.
