Iran Petrochemical Industry Demonstration Sanctions / Iran’s Export Strategy is not affected by sanctions

“Seyyed Mohammad Eslami” today (Saturday) in an interview with IRNA economic reporter, stating that the mechanism of sanctions on the petrochemical industry has not changed much compared to 1397, added: regardless of whether the names of legal companies or individuals are on the sanctions list or not. , Iran’s petrochemical industry is under sanctions because they have to use unconventional methods to export and sell petrochemical products.
The announcement of a new sanctions list will not affect petrochemical exports
The CEO of Mehr Petrochemical emphasized: All petrochemical complexes in Iran must act in the structure of sanctions and the announcement of a new list of sanctions will not affect exports.
He continued: “Although the withdrawal of the United States from Borjam and the embargo on Iran’s petrochemical industry have created problems, but Iran’s petrochemical exports have continued in recent years.”
Eslami also pointed to the problems related to bank transfers in the export of petrochemical products and said: “However, the petrochemical industry has played the most important role in providing foreign exchange resources in the face of sanctions.”
According to Islami, announcing sanctions against several individuals and legal entities in this situation is a show issue, and adding some legal and real names to the petrochemical industry sanctions list is a show tool to increase the psychological pressure.
The export mechanism of petrochemical companies is based on the conditions of sanctions
Pointing out that the export mechanism of petrochemical companies is based on the conditions of sanctions, he added: “Iranian exporters, as well as experts in this industry, know the structure of sanctions and use it to export petrochemical products.”
The CEO of Mehr Petrochemical continued: “Previously, the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Company, which is the second largest petrochemical production company in the Middle East, was sanctioned. However, the export of this company also continues.”
Eslami, stating that export policy in the petrochemical industry has two components, said: the first component is domestic production capacity and the country’s need for petrochemical products, and the second component is profit margins.
He stressed: “Iran’s export strategy in the petrochemical industry is not affected by sanctions and considers export policies.” These sanctions are mostly political in nature and affect the outcome of the negotiations.
According to IRNA, the democratic government of Joe Biden, which has repeatedly acknowledged the failure of US policies of maximum pressure against Iran, in another new anti-Iranian action, despite the slogan of diplomacy against Tehran, imposed sanctions on Iran’s petrochemical industry.
The US Treasury Department issued a statement on Thursday stating that the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control had boycotted a network of Iranian petrochemical producers, as well as coating companies in China and the UAE that support Trilliance Petrochemical and Iran Petrochemical Trading Company.
According to the US Treasury Department, these companies play an effective role in brokering the sale of Iranian petrochemical products abroad.
The US Treasury Department claimed that the network facilitates international trade and circumvention of Iranian sanctions, and supports the sale of Iranian petrochemical products to customers in China and other East Asian regions.
