According to Mehr News Agency, Tehran Times newspaper In today’s editorial, he examined the dimensions of the possibility of increasing Iran’s trade and economic relations with other countries, given the progress made in the Vienna talks to lift sanctions.
The Tehran Times wrote, referring to a meeting between Iranian officials and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany, that many of them stressed their country’s will to strengthen economic ties with Tehran.
According to media reports, the meetings of the Iranian Foreign Minister and his foreign counterparts in Munich are expected to be the last considerations and talks on this agreement.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian has said he expects an agreement with Iran to be announced next week. Informed sources in the Vienna talks also told the Qatari newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed that Amir Abdullahian and his counterparts from the European Troika (E3) (Germany, Britain and France) during the Munich Security Conference “will be a very important and perhaps final stage for the Vienna talks.” .
The sources also said that the negotiators in Vienna are waiting for the results of the meetings between the Iranian Foreign Minister and some of his counterparts from the negotiating parties in Munich to resolve sensitive issues.
Developments in the Vienna talks have not gone unnoticed by economic actors in various countries, and as noted, several foreign ministers from different countries are willing to do business with Iran as soon as the agreement is announced.
In this regard, Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar announced New Delhi’s readiness to open a credit line for economic and trade cooperation, as well as his country’s determination to establish closer cooperation with Tehran in the fields of oil, industry, agriculture and trade.
Trade issues were also on the agenda of Amir Abdullahian’s meeting with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan.
All this while trade negotiations are not limited to the Iranian Foreign Ministry. Other relevant authorities are also working hard to strengthen economic ties. For example, an official at the Trade Development Organization of Iran has said that the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade will hold the 14th meeting of the Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Committee in the coming days.
Recently, a delegation of experts from the Islamic Republic of Iran consisting of banking and oil experts in Seoul met with South Korean officials and companies. The talks are seen as preparations for the resumption of oil trade between Tehran and Seoul.
