According to the Mehr news agency, Iraj Masjedi, Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad, announced at the commemoration of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution that the Islamic Republic does not accept the language of threats and sanctions.
Masjidi added that sanctions against the Iranian people should be lifted.
In another part of his remarks, he said: “We want good relations with the countries of the region.”
Pointing out that Iran-Iraq relations are based on mutual respect, sovereignty and common interests, the Iranian ambassador to Baghdad continued that Iran supported Iraq in defeating terrorism and eliminating ISIS.
