Historical research shows that in different periods, the focus was on one of these components, for example, in the classical era, what was important was the sender or the “artist”. In the modern world, opinions focused on the message or what the “work of art” was. But undoubtedly, in today’s world, what is in the center of attention is the “audience”. This is why many works of art are interested in the activism of the audience and try to replace the “active audience” with the “passive audience”.

It is for this reason that today popular works, which may have less and of course weaker content, are in the center of attention and have been supported either by the government or by the private sector.

Regardless of the size and number of the audience, a glance at the number of screenings and theaters dedicated to the screening of each film will allow you to reach a correct conclusion about the situation and prioritization of cinema managers, theater owners, and of course broadcasters.

For example, we have said many times that the movie “Fossil” started its release at the end of March last year and now, after a long time, it still has the largest number of screenings and theaters. Even the other works that started their release at the same time as this film do not have tickets for sale today and will not be released anymore, although apart from these cases, the revival of the cinema box office is definitely appreciated.

In the last month, the works on the cinema screen have sold well, and all Iranian cinemas have had more than one million and 197 thousand viewers in these 30 days, and this number has gone to the cinema to watch movies on the screen in nearly 49 thousand screenings, and this means every cinema screening. It has had an average of 41 audiences.

Among the works on the screen in the last month, “Fossil” is still at the top of the best-selling works of the cinema, this film with more than 426 thousand viewers in 11 thousand 454 screenings has taken 21% of the total cinema audience in this period of time. Of course, in order to obtain this statistic, Fossil had 24% of the available cinema screenings in this month.

“Shahr Hurt”, the second work of Karim Amini which is currently being released, is the only close competitor of his first work, “Fossil”. This film has 320,170 viewers in 9,192 screenings and has 16% of the total cinema audience. “Shahr Hurt” has had 18% of cinema screenings for this reason.

Perhaps the third best-selling movie in the cinema last month is a little surprising, the comedy for children is not very popular, but “Nargil 2”, which of course has a successful sales team, brought 87,362 viewers to the cinema in 4,448 screenings until 4 share a percentage of the cinema sales.

This statistic so far shows that more than 40% of the sales of the works are related to the first two movies on the bestseller list and the rest of the movies are responsible for a small amount of the total sales. Includes sales.

As mentioned, there are no non-comedy works in the first three films of the best-selling cinema list last month, the best-selling social and non-comedy film of cinema is “Leather Coat” which had 69,164 viewers in 3,713 screenings, and this means that The film has 3% of the total cinema audience.
