Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said in a meeting with his Syrian counterpart after arriving in Damascus that our relations with Syria are strategic.

“Our relations with Syria are strategic and we are working to develop cooperation with this country in all areas,” Hussein Amir Abdullahian was quoted as saying by Sputnik, quoting Tasnim. “Syria is on the path to progress and prosperity, and we will stand by it as we did in the war on terror.”

Today, the Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Damascus, the capital of Syria, at the head of a delegation headed by a delegation to Lebanon, where he was welcomed by his Syrian counterpart.

After visiting Moscow, Hussein Amir Abdullahian traveled to Lebanon to meet with Lebanese officials, including the prime minister, president, and foreign minister, as well as the secretary general of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

During a meeting with his Iranian counterpart in Damascus, the Syrian foreign minister said that Syria condemned US support and actions in the case of Iran’s nuclear program.

After traveling to Moscow, Hussein Amir Abdullahian traveled to Lebanon to meet with Lebanese officials, including the prime minister, president, and foreign minister, as well as the secretary general of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and then to Syria.
