The Deputy of Tourism and Pilgrimage Affairs of Fars Governorate stated that the national festival “Peoples of Iran Earth” will be held in Fars with the presence of 9 provinces, Fars, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Sistan and Baluchistan, Kurdistan, East Azerbaijan, Golestan and North Khorasan provinces will participate in this festival. Referring to the slogan of the year, Mohammad Farrokhzadeh said in a press conference on Tuesday: This year’s slogan is “production, knowledge-based and entrepreneurship, of which tourism economy is one of the important topics.

The Deputy of Tourism and Pilgrimage Affairs of Fars Governorate stressed the necessity of introducing customs, handicrafts and arts and crafts, and said: “The Peoples of Iran Earth” festival is a unity exercise between Fars province and other provinces.

Farrokhzadeh stated that 9 provinces are present in this festival and added: Due to the limited capacity, the presence of other provinces will be used throughout the year.

This official stated: The supreme leader of the revolution in Iranian and Islamic lifestyles emphasizes a lot on the issue of healthy recreation, which needs to create a space for the enrichment of leisure time, and this enrichment should be accompanied by education.

Farrokhzadeh continued: The topic of customs and local culture is another emphasis of the supreme leader of the revolution and the festival of “Iranian peoples of the land” which is held during the decade of Imamat and Velayat is another exercise between the provincial institutions.

The Deputy of Tourism and Pilgrimage Affairs of Fars Governorate stated: In Shiraz and Fars province, we must have suitable alternatives for the youth and teenagers so that we do not witness incidents like the recent presence of skaters in Chamran Boulevard. This festival is a suitable alternative with a deep depth of rituals.

He emphasized the need to participate and stand together to do various things and said: nomads make up more than 50% of Fars province and nomads have played an important role in the country and province at all times.

According to Farrokhzadeh, the space should be drawn in such a way that there is a possibility of showing the capabilities of the nomads and their beliefs.

Prediction of 100 stalls in this festival

Seyed Moayed Mohsennejad, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Fars, said regarding the holding of the Iranian ethnic festival hosted by Fars: creating social excitement for the citizens of Shirazi, introducing Fars and Shiraz, supporting handicraft artists, introducing the ethnic groups in the form of heritage. Intangibles and the supply of handicrafts were among the goals of this festival.

The Director General of Fars Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism continued: This festival will be held in Shiraz for 10 days and the provinces of Fars, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Sistan and Baluchistan, Kurdistan, East Azerbaijan, Golestan and North Khorasan have participated in this festival.

Mohsennejad added: On the sidelines of this exhibition; It is also planned to set up black nomadic tents and provide workshops. 100 booths are expected in this festival, and the location of these booths is the intersection of literature and Hafeziyah.

Believing that Fars can be the center of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism events, he said: the richness of Fars has made it the origin and ground for the activists of these three areas.

Stating that the evaluation and impact of such festivals are being counted, Mohsennejad said: Empathy and cooperation in Fars is one of the good exercises that happened due to the holding of this event.

He considered the support of the private sector to be the basis for the development of tourism activities and said: Without a doubt, with the implementation of tourism programs and activities in the society, we will witness the movement of the wheel of the tourism economy.
