According to Mehr news agency, quoted from website Sputnik, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support for Russia’s national sovereignty in a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In this telephone conversation, the two sides also emphasized the need to develop the horizons of bilateral cooperation and discussed the practical implementation of the agreements between Iran and Russia in the commercial, energy and transportation sectors.

In this telephone conversation, Putin and Raisi emphasized on the continuation of personal consultations between them and also discussed the latest international developments, especially the issue of stability in the Caucasus region and the political solution to the Syrian crisis.

Also, during this telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin congratulated his Iranian counterpart on the arrival of Eid al-Adha.
