Iranian wrestlers to compete in Bulgaria from tomorrow – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news



According to the Mehr correspondent, the selected freestyle wrestling teams of our country sent to Bulgaria, which arrived in the city of “Veliko Tranovo” on Monday evening, must go to the mat from tomorrow according to the schedule of the competitions. The representatives of Iranian wrestling, who underwent corona testing before settling in the host city of the tournament, settled in the hotel without any problems, and now, after a few light training sessions, they are ready to participate in this tournament.

The international freestyle and western wrestling competitions of Danklov and Nikolai Petrov Cup will be held from February 17 to March 22, according to the schedule, against the contenders of 61, 70, 79 and 92 kg freestyle wrestling, as well as 55, 63, 72 and 82 kg of wrestling will be held on Thursdays and Fridays (February 18 and 19).

Then it will be the turn of 57, 65 and 74 kg freestyle wrestling and 87, 97 and 130 kg freestyle wrestling, which will be held on Friday and Saturday (February 19 and 20).

The last two days of this tournament are dedicated to the competition of the contenders in the weights of 86, 97 and 125 kg freestyle wrestling and 60, 67 and 77 kg wrestling. These wrestlers must compete on Saturdays and Sundays (February 20 and March 22).
