Iran’s deposits with foreign banks exceeded 18.5 billion dollars

According to Iran Economist, the Bank for International Settlements announced in its latest report: Iran’s deposits with foreign banks and financial institutions at the end of the third quarter of 2022 were equal to 18 billion and 586 million dollars. Iran’s deposits with these banks and institutions have grown by 7% compared to the same period of 2021.
At the end of the third quarter of 2021, Iran’s total deposits with foreign banks and institutions were announced as 17 billion and 447 million dollars.
Of Iran’s total deposits with foreign banks and financial institutions at the end of the third quarter of 2022, 9 billion and 846 million dollars were with foreign banks and the rest with non-banking financial institutions.
The Bank of International Settlements has announced that 40% of Iran’s foreign deposits, equal to 7 billion and 396 million dollars, are kept in the form of Euros. The share of the dollar was 270 million dollars and the Japanese yen was 1 billion and 403 million dollars.
According to this report, Iran’s commitments to foreign banks and financial institutions at the end of the third quarter of 2022 also faced a 27% growth compared to the same period of 2021 and reached 1.865 billion dollars. Iran’s commitments to these banks in the third quarter of 2021 amounted to one billion and 462 million dollars.
Of Iran’s total obligations to banks and foreign institutions in the third quarter of 2022, 828 million dollars were related to Iran’s obligations to banks. Also, 1 billion 536 million dollars of Iran’s commitments were in the form of Euros and 9 million dollars in the form of dollars.
According to this report, Iran’s total financial transactions with foreign banks and financial institutions at the end of the third quarter of 2022 increased by 8% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 20 billion and 451 million dollars. In the same period of 2021, Iran’s foreign relations were reported to be 18 billion and 909 million dollars.
