Iraqi Prime Minister’s telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar

According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi had a telephone conversation with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and reviewed relations between the two countries.

Iraqi News Agency (واعThe Iraqi Prime Minister’s Information Office said in a statement that al-Kadhimi discussed bilateral relations and some issues of mutual interest.

The two sides also stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between Iraq and Qatar in various fields in order to achieve the interests of the two nations and the prosperity of the two countries. Earlier, Iraqi Electricity Minister Adel Karim met with Qatari Energy Minister Saad Sharida al-Kaabi to discuss the possibility of exporting Iraqi gas to Qatar.
