Apart from the fact that there is ambiguity in this issue and some believe that the Competition Council should not interfere in car pricing, another ambiguity is related to the role of this council in applying the lottery system. In fact, the question is whether interfering in the sales affairs of automakers is also within the authority and description of the duties of the Competition Council, which has decided to apply the lottery system (from May last year until today)?
The chairman of the Competition Council says: “Due to the difference between the factory and market prices and the high volume of applicants and limited supply, the lottery is the appropriate method and the” council decision “and it does not matter to carmakers whether they are satisfied or not and are obliged to implement.”
Reza Shiva also said that if someone says that lottery is not a good method, he should be asked immediately what better method he intends? Shiva said this while Minister Samat is one of the opponents of the car lottery and we have to wait and see what method is considered as an alternative. But according to the Chairman of the Competition Council and the Minister of Silence, the question now arises as to which one was about and the lack of lottery car sales plans are decisive?
He added: “When the Competition Council says that the car lottery was the decision of the council, then how does the Ministry of Silence want to abandon this system?” If the Ministry of Silence makes the final decision in this matter, then why does the Competition Council consider it its expert decision and defend it so much? The statements of both sides show that there is no necessary coordination between the Competition Council and the Ministry of Silence in the issue of lottery of car sales plans and of course the price. We have to wait and see what decision the Ministry of Silence will make about the lottery in the comprehensive program that is being prepared for the car, and whether the Competition Council will accept it or take a negative position against it.
