Japan’s financial aid to the countries that did not condemn the war in Ukraine – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, citing Sputnik, reports indicate that the Ministry of Finance of Japan plans to provide financial aid to support countries that have not condemned Russia’s military operations in Ukraine.
This report states: As part of the so-called development-oriented aid (ODA) program, Japan will provide financial aid to 19 countries that have not supported the condemnation of Russia’s military operations in Ukraine in the United Nations.
Specifically, in this aid package, Japan allocated 20, 12 and 11 million dollars to Laos, Vietnam and Iran, respectively, and a total of 91 million dollars for other countries.
According to this report, the Ministry of Finance of Japan believes that these grants should be reviewed. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, which is in charge of distributing this aid, has not seen any inconsistency in these allocations because these aids are also considered for non-governmental organizations and the decision to allocate financial aid has been made based on diplomatic importance and the development of humanitarian aid.
Since the beginning of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine on February 24 (March 5, 1400), Japan has imposed sanctions against more than 900 individuals and 280 companies and institutions, as well as 11 Russian banks, and has been among the most active countries in terms of sanctions against Moscow.
