According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the Independent, the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says that the negotiations for the release of “Nazanin Zaghari Ratcliffe”, a citizen of dual citizenship detained in Iran, are continuing, but she could not explain further in this regard.
Yesterday, Zaghari’s lawyer, Hojjat Kermani, announced that his British passport had been delivered, but that the time of his departure was still unknown.
Nazanin Zaghari, a British citizen, was arrested on April 6, 2016 by the Revolutionary Guards. In 1995, he was sentenced to five years in prison, and in another case in May this year, he was again sentenced to one year in prison.
It was previously announced that he had participated in the design and implementation of media and cyber projects with the theme of soft overthrow of the holy system of the Islamic Republic by being a member of foreign companies and institutions. He has been involved in criminal activities for the past years.
