Kabulov: The meeting of the United Nations in Doha about Afghanistan was without results – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by the Afghan Voice (Ava) news agency, “Zamir Kabulov”, the special representative of the Russian President for Afghanistan affairs and the head of the Second Asian Department in the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced in a speech today Saturday: “The Doha meeting is due to differences between the region” And the West ended without any results.
The special representative of the Russian President in Afghanistan continued: Russia welcomes the efforts of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
In response to the question whether the Doha meeting has created a good prospect for resolving the current situation in Afghanistan, he said: No, it is not like that. Guterres tried to unite the fragmented camps of the so-called collective West with our regional team on Afghanistan. We in the region (Russia, China, Iran, Pakistan, Central Asian countries and India) believe that the priority should be to create inclusive leadership in Afghanistan, and creating such a structure will lead to solving other very important issues such as women’s rights in Afghanistan.
Zamir Kabulov added: At the same time, we should not forget the issues of fighting terrorism, which is very important, as well as the issue of drugs.
According to him, Western countries are “putting the cart on the horse, doing the wrong thing” and they believe that the Taliban must first solve human rights issues.
This diplomat added: This is not a workable approach. These differences can be resolved, provided that the regionalist approach prevails.
