According to the economic correspondent of Fars News Agency, based on the monitored information from Karkheh Dam, the catchment area upstream of this dam has decreased by 28% in the current water year compared to last year.

Currently, the water level in Karkheh Dam has reached 180.2 meters above sea level, while the lowest level experienced in this dam was 174 meters above sea level.

According to Fars, the Khuzestan Water and Electricity Organization, following the decrease in rainfall in the Karkheh Dam and also the inadequate water level of this dam, has announced that there is no water to provide summer crops, including paddy.
