Kremlin: Putin and Raisi discussed bilateral relations – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news



According to Mehr news agency, citing Sputnik news agency, the Russian presidential office (Kremlin) issued a statement on Saturday announcing that the president of this country had a telephone consultation with his Iranian counterpart on Wednesday.

The Russian presidential office continued in this statement: Russian and Iranian presidents Vladimir Putin and Seyed Ebrahim Raisi discussed issues on the agenda of Moscow and Tehran, emphasizing further strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

The statement issued by the Russian presidential office in this regard states: The presidents of Russia and Iran supported the continuous implementation of mutually beneficial projects in the energy, transportation and logistics sectors. Putin and Raisi also expressed their desire to cooperate in normalizing the situation in Syria and restoring its territorial integrity.

The Kremlin announced on November 21: Putin and the President of Iran emphasized on strengthening cooperation in political and economic fields, including in the field of transportation. In a conversation with his Iranian counterpart, the Russian President once again expressed his sympathy to Ebrahim Raisi regarding the terrorist attack (in the holy shrine of Shahcheragh) in Shiraz. Putin and Seyed Ebrahim Raisi agreed to strengthen contacts between Iranian and Russian institutions.
