Kremlin: Putin issues a decree to respond to the Russian oil price ceiling

According to Fars International News Agency, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov reacted today (Thursday) to Canada’s decision to restore sanctions against the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline.

During a press conference in the Kremlin, Peskov said: “It is unlikely that Canada’s decision to reimpose sanctions against Nord Stream 1 turbines will affect Russia; Rather, it will hit European consumers.”

It was this morning that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada announced that it has canceled the sanctions exemption granted to the German company “Siemens” for the repairs and maintenance of the Nord Stream 1 turbines.

According to “Ryanvosti” website, the Kremlin spokesperson further described the resolution of the Polish parliament calling Russia a terrorist “anti-Russian agitation”.

Peskov explained about this: “Polish authorities do not want to face the reality and do not want to accept the fact that what happened to the Tupolev-154 plane was just a heartbreaking incident.”

Today, the Polish parliament passed a resolution that declares Russia “directly responsible” for the crash of the Tupolev-154 plane near the city of Smolensk in 2010. In this incident, 96 people were killed, including Lech Kaczynski, the president of Poland at the time.

According to “Sputnik” news agency, he further said that Russian President “Vladimir Putin” will issue a presidential decree this week to take retaliatory measures against the decision of Western countries to impose a ceiling on the price of Russian oil.
