Kuwait and Saudi Arabia condemned Israeli attacks on worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque



In a statement posted on its official Twitter account, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday that Zionist militants’s attacks on Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque were dangerously serious and a clear violation of all international conventions and resolutions, and a sign of extremism, violence and weakening. In a statement, Kuwait called on the international community, particularly the Security Council, to “take responsibility for protecting the brotherly people of Palestine and their holy sites, and for curbing attacks by the Israeli occupation forces.”

In this regard, Marzouk Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, said: “What is happening in Al-Aqsa Mosque is a clear proof of the invalidity of all statements and political debates in the last 30 years in this area, all of them false peace and unsupported claims of coexistence.” It is unrealistic in the shadow of the so-called new international order.

He added: “These developments are a testament to the vitality of the struggle and resistance, support and solidarity, and are key words for the realization of the inherent rights of the Palestinian people.”

Al-Ghanim, meanwhile, stressed: “We must not give up any effort, even a symbolic one, to advance the cause of the Palestinian people and to show solidarity with our brothers at the international level and to provide daily support to the (Palestinian) inhabitants of our occupied territories.” We must use every means to expose the dirty deeds of the occupiers in all assemblies.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry also condemned in a statement the Israeli military attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque, closing its gates and attacking worshipers inside and outside the mosque.

The statement also described the escalation of tensions in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the blatant desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its place in the Islamic world, and the violation of all relevant international resolutions and pacts.
