Kuwait emphasized the need for the Zionist regime to join the NPT

According to IRNA’s report today (Wednesday), quoting from Rai Alyoum newspaper, “Ebrahim Al-Daei”, a member of the delegation of Kuwait, emphasized the need for “Israel” to join this treaty in the second committee of the 10th NPT review meeting in New York. “Especially because (Tel Aviv) is the only party in the region that has not joined it and prevents the creation of a zone free of these weapons.”

He added: “It is necessary to adhere to the results of the review conferences in 1995, 2000 and 2010, especially in relation to creating a Middle East free of such weapons.”

This Kuwaiti official stated: The adherence of those member countries of this treaty – which do not possess nuclear weapons – to their responsibilities regarding non-proliferation is the best proof of their firm belief in the dangers of nuclear weapons, and the continuation of this adherence is important.

Until now, the Zionist regime has officially concealed the possession of nuclear weapons. The nuclear programs of the Zionist interim regime have been the main subject of intelligence evaluation since the 1960s, when it first started operating the Dimona nuclear reactor in the Negev desert. Various regional security sources believe that the Zionist regime has 200 to 400 nuclear warheads.

The international community, in the form of resolutions approved by the Atomic Energy Agency and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference, has repeatedly called for Israel’s immediate accession to the NPT and for all its nuclear facilities to be under the full supervision of the Agency’s safeguards, and against the Zionist regime. Over the past years, ignoring the legitimate request of the international community and with the support of some countries, especially the United States, it has continued to advance its military nuclear program in clear violation of all international laws and regulations.
