Kyiv claimed to export 1.5 million tons of food

According to IRNA from Reuters news agency; The suspension of Ukraine’s grain exports following the attack of Russian forces on February 24 (5th of March) and the closure of Ukrainian ports caused food prices to soar and concerns about shortages in Africa and the Middle East. But according to the agreement between Moscow and Kyiv, these ports were reopened on July 22 (July 31).
Ukraine has announced that 100 or 150 cargo ships can load in these ports per month.
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine added: 6 ships carrying 183,000 tons of agricultural products left the Black Sea ports of Ukraine on Tuesday alone.
The Grain Trade Union of Ukraine has also announced in a separate statement that corn accounted for 62% of the country’s food and agricultural exports, 17% of wheat and 6% of barley. This Eastern European country also exports sunflower seeds, canola and soybeans.
Ukraine’s Minister of Agriculture Mykola Salsky said on Monday that with the gradual reopening of the country’s ports, the export of agricultural products in October may reach 6 million to 6.5 million tons, which will be twice the amount in July.
According to IRNA; Western countries, after being pressured by Ukraine and its problems in supplying military equipment and weapons and even food, raised the issue of the world’s dire need for Ukrainian grains and agricultural products, and signed an agreement between Moscow and Kiev with the mediation of Turkey to Ships have departed from Ukrainian ports to export grain from this country, and thus some ships carrying grain have gone to the ports of other countries in the past few days.
This action established the sea connection of Ukraine with other countries, especially Western countries, and gave them an opportunity to use these conditions to send military equipment under the pretext of sending ships to transport Ukrainian grain to Ukraine by sea. Sea mines in the past months in the Black Sea and around the ports of Ukraine had led to the fact that Ukraine was under pressure and the only way to supply equipment and weapons by this country was through land routes, which was also by Russian missiles and planes. It was attacked and destroyed, and this country is under severe pressure in terms of equipment and weapons.
After the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the Russian forces tried to destroy the Ukrainian navy by using naval and air equipment, and by using ships and warships, they cut off Kiev’s maritime communication with the outside world. In such a situation, the Ukrainian forces could communicate with their supporting countries in the west by cutting off their sea communication with the outside only by land, which was also attacked and threatened by the Russian forces with missile and air attacks.
