Some important findings about the housing poverty line
– The rate of households without affordable housing (tenants) in 1399 was about 57%. The highest rate is related to Tehran with 79.9% and the lowest rate is related to South Khorasan with 8.3%.
– The most deprived provinces of the country in the housing sector are Sistan and Baluchestan and Kerman, which are in a worse situation than the national average in five of the six indicators studied in the housing sector.
– The trend of increasing the share of housing costs in the country since 1397 has increased more rapidly than in previous years. Economic conditions are one of the main reasons for this. BAccordingly, the share of housing costs in the household expenditure basket in Iran has been about 1.7 times this ratio in the European Union and the Eurozone.
Comparing the welfare indicators of tenants and non-tenants with the average of the whole country in 1399 shows that tenants reduce other costs and pleasures of life to meet the need for shelter and are more vulnerable in society.
