According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the Sputnik news agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Monday: Lavrov had a telephone conversation with the Iranian foreign minister, discussing issues related to Borjam.

According to Sputnik, a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry said: Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart (Hossein Amir-Abdollahian) about the status of the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan in the framework of the resumption of talks (lifting of sanctions) in Vienna.

It is worth mentioning that the eighth round of talks on lifting the sanctions started on January 27 with the holding of a meeting of the Joint Commission of the IAEA, chaired by Ali Bagheri, Senior Negotiator of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Enrique Moo, EU Deputy Foreign Minister. Westerners are creating psychological tensions by resorting to time-consuming tactics and setting fake deadlines for ending negotiations.
